Jim Rossman

Operating Principal

Jim Rossman is an Operating Principal and part of General Atlantic’s Resources Group, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s investment teams and portfolio companies with a focus on revenue generation. Jim serves on the board of Directors of Session M.

Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Jim served as President and Chief Operating Officer of AKQA where he was responsible for managing the firm’s global client relationships, including overseeing service delivery, new business development, and firmwide resource management. Earlier in his career, Jim was Chief Operating Officer of Digitas, with responsibility for the firm’s strategic investment planning, resourcing, and operating activities. In addition, he managed the firm’s new business efforts, as well as global client relationships with General Motors and American Express. Prior to Digitas, Jim held various senior management roles at Young & Rubicam and its global response-marketing network, Wunderman.

Jim earned a BA in Economics from Trinity College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he concentrated in Marketing and Strategy. He also sits on the board of public software company Tremor Video, and is a standing member of the Digital Task Force for WNYC (New York Public Radio).
